Having talked about his ambition to climb Mount Everest for charity for years, Ronan is now going for Kilimanjaro instead. He is doing this for the UK's Red Nose Day fundraising campaign this year (March 13).

According to Wikipedia, "climbers will suffer considerable discomfort, typically shortage of breath, hypothermia and headaches, and though most young, fit people can make the Uhuru summit, a substantial number of trekers will abandon the attempt at a lower altitude." Can Ronan make it? Yes, we know he can!

Keep checking the Red Nose Day website for updates. You can make a donation here, and leave a good luck message on the BT micro site for Ronan.
