The Town I Loved So Well (Duet with Phil Coulter) (1998/2001)
Ronan first joined Phil Coulter in performing this beautiful little song on Irish TV in 1998, and a studio recording was included on Coulter's 2001 album 'The Songs I Love So Well'. It's probably a song that not many fans are aware of, but it is not to be missed.

A wonderful duet with Phil Coulter, a now 68 year old famous songwriter/singer from Derry/Northern Ireland. This song was written in 1973, it's dealing with the northern Ireland conflict and it addresses the tragical political situation during that period in Ireland. Showing how life has changed during these hard times in Ireland. A tender song, that is very emotional, tearful and extremely melancholic. The piano accompaniment is strong yet elegant and suits wonderful to both Coulter's and Ronan Keating's voices. Closing your eyes you can exactly see what they sing about, you see the pictures described in this song and they are enough to make one homesick for the Emerald Isle...
The most popular version of this song is from the Dubliners, but in my opinion this version of Ronan with Phil is even more emotional, there are so many feelings packed in this song that you can just close your eyes and feel...
