Northampton Balloon Festival 21.08.04 - Claire & Claire meet Ronan
Hello peeps, thought I would do a running account of our meet and greet yesterday!
Well, as you may know I am very heavily pregnant and all day Claire and I were trying to stay really calm as not to bring anything on! there was a lot of hoo har about who and where we should meet and there was a lot of hanging around and about half an hour before I really thought **** this is it I'm going to go into labour!!! but you will be pleased to know that baby stayed in tact for the whole event! by the time we got escorted through behind the stage it was nearly half eight and as there were 8 people to meet him we knew we would'nt get much time with him! Well as Claire and I had seated ourselfs at the front of the little marquee/tent thing where they had eaten before hand!!! and I managed to see him walking towards us and grabbed Claire's hand and said well this is it chick, we knew if we went to piece's and didnt stay calm we could blow our chance! as soon as he walked in he apologised for looking a bit tired said he had just woke up, and we were like, thats ok ro you look fine to us! as he saw me he was like "oh my lord, it was'nt me!" as there was another girl in there 7 months preggers!, I got him to sign my calender on august, so I would always remember the date of our meeting!!! asked him to do it to Claire, then Claire got her book signed asked for the same, and Ronan said "two Claire's, are you both sisters!!!!" (ro having a blond moment there!) we both had our photo taken for the radio, then even though time was short I was like hold can we have some more please, I hung on to his waist for dear life, at that point he was rubbing my back!! just as he was signing the other peeps stuff his guys were like come on Ro (Barry was there!) and I thought right if I dont speak now I wont get a chance so I was like Ro.... said that we were off rkmb [message board] and that everyone from there sent there well wishes and their love and that we were supporting him tonight with the pink ribbons etc, he stopped and turned and looked at me and Claire and said "thanks girls, thanks for the support", he also mentioned that it tied in nicely with the pink ribbon campaign coming up that he was doing, that was about it, they ushered him out and again he turned looked at me and Claire and smiled and said thanks again for the support!!!
At that point me and Claire were on cloud 9! Enjoyed the concert, got very emotional when he started to sing as we were back with our group (mum and Claire's sis and my bessie mate) and I think the whole event had caught up with us and yes even as I'm writing this baby is still in tact! I think after last night he is there to stay!
