On Sunday we went to the concert hall in the morning to look around. We did saw some trucks and busses, which belong to the Ronan tour.
We even spoke with a bus driver who was really surprised to hear that we came all the way from Holland.
“But we are coming to Holland too, isn’t it?” Yes, you are!
We talked a little more and he told us the band would be in at 4 and Ronan himself at 7.
When we walked away he told us to go have a look at the tower, because the view was amazing and he was so right! We saw whole Munich this way and even the mountains of Austria!

Later that day we talked to some people who were waiting to get in. After a little talk we find out that it was Lizzie and some friends. That was so funny. Meeting people you know from the Internet. We showed her the card book and she and the others loved it.

At half past three we walked around one more time and I asked the security man backstage if I could get the Ronan poster on the window and I could after the concert.

We waited till a quarter past 4 for the band but no sign of them. Then we decided it was time to go and wait for the doors, because we really wanted to stand front row, the waiting begun. It was so cold. We both went to the toilets after some time. While the other one saved the place we stood.
At half past 6 we heard Ronan inside doing a sound check. He did the way you make me feel. Then I said listen! Isn’t this In the Ghetto? Yes it was! We were so happy. This must mean he would do that song that evening too! And then finally at 7 the doors went open they looked in my bag and then we were running inside.
We were so happy to get the front row we wanted! We stood at the right side of the catwalk almost at the end of it.

Then the waiting started again. Finally Blink TV started and of course we screamed if we saw Ronan at the screen or one of the men from Westlife. But we were the only one in the whole hall who did that! So people started to look a little strange in our direction, we didn’t care.

Then finally the support act was introduced. Ronan had picked out them himself. And the man also told that there were 8500 people in the Olympia Halle. The support act was a group called Wonderwall and they had a band with them. The music was nice, but after 5 songs we were like, when are they going to stop? They didn’t. They did 9 songs!

After they stopped, the things got of stage. We saw a little blink TV again and then the lights went out. It wasn’t totally dark so we could see Ronan coming to his place from the right side of the stage. He sat down in the middle at the beginning of the catwalk. I was so happy, finally I would see him in concert again. The hall was totally full of excitement, because everybody knew it was almost time to start the show.

He started with, my one thing that’s real. From sitting he got up and that was so great to see! He was so close. Later he came even closer! That feeling was so great, realizing that it is almost possible to touch him. The next song was Blown away. After that he did Lovin’ each day.
He looked so happy and so hyper. He really did enjoy it! He was wearing a suit again. Same suit as in England most of the time. I did recognize it from the photos on the site.
Then it was time for the way you make me feel. I was so happy! Finally he would give me a hand. And he did! Only he didn’t look at the people, he looked at the hands he was shaking. His hand was a bit sweaty by the way. Realizing you got a hand of him that is so …
I don’t have words for it actually.

Then he talked with the audience about the 11th of September and the things which had happened in Bali and Finland not that long ago. He said you had to make Time for love and then he started to sing that song.
After that he sang when you say nothing at all and he smiled so great when the audience sang some of the lines. At the end he went up to the highest point at the stage for the flute part in the song.

It was time to get out the jacket of the suit and get the tie off also.
He told us a little about how he loved to finally do a tour in Europe and that he was in this hall before with Boyzone. He wanted to sing some Boyzone songs and he did.

He started with Picture of you. And at the end when he was at the catwalk singing this I decided to take a photo, because he was so close. The photo must be really great. (One of the very much photos I took) He saw my camera and looked into it and waited till I had taken it. I was like Oh My God he waits for me! That was so special. He did wait till the camera flashed. Then he looked better at me and then beside me and back a few times. He recognized us! That was so great!

After Picture of you he did Baby can I hold you and he did it so good! That was the end of the Boyzone part of the show, because now he sung someday. And we joined him of course, like we did with all his songs. But the hall went quiet. I think a lot of people in Germany don’t know this song. And he smiled very big when people started clapping while he wasn’t ready yet! And then it was so quiet when he finished the song. That was so beautiful.

After that he sang Love won’t work, always a great song to hear live. But then again all his songs are great to hear live.  Then he took some time to tell about aids and his visit to the Far East. When he finished talking he sang Joy and pain. And he did a lot of hip movements during this song but also during the whole show.

After that song he introduced Jeanette to us. She was going to sing with him. They recorded together a version of We’ve got tonight for the German market. You could see that Ronan was a bit shy around her.
We didn’t care because he didn’t dare to look at her all the time and instead of that he looked at us, because we were just in his line. Oh those eyebrows going up and that little smile especially for us.

Jeanette left again and then he sang if tomorrow never comes. The whole crowd joined him. And he was so happy with that. And then he sang Brown eyed girl and we already started jumping while he was introducing it. The people around us looked strange at us again. Brown eyed girl is such a great song. I love it! Almost all the people did dance on it too, but didn’t sing with him. I guess they didn’t know the words of the song.
After that he did I love it when we do. The hip movement was again there, first to both sides and in the next chorus first from the front and later with his butt to us. And then that look when the whole hall starts to scream about that. That look ... like why are you screaming? What did I do? *lol*
At the end of the song he introduced the band to us. Jo wasn’t with him this tour only Janet. And then he went away.

Of course he came back, doing Life is a rollercoaster and he did do the flying in it too. Janet had some problems getting him on the line. But he did fly really well. At the other little stage in the back of the hall he sang In the Ghetto, which is so beautiful. Again I think we were almost the only ones who knew the words for it. At the end of the song he went back to us in the front of the hall, after he had some problems getting the microphone cord around his hand again. I think that is because then it can’t fall down when he is turning around and around in the air.

Then it was time for the long goodbye. And I have to say that is always a sad song to hear because you know it means the show has to end after it. But it is also a fantastic song.

Then it was finally over and the lights went on again.
I got myself a tour T-shirt and key ring. I was a little bit disappointed because there were no shawls!

Outside we went to the backstage door. We did see Jeanette come out and I asked her manager if she was going with Ronan whole tour. No, she was working on her album and would join him again in Berlin. They were going to do TOTP Germany together and the dome he said.

I got my Ronan poster of the window of the backstage door. But Ronan slipped out without that we saw him. Probably in a car with dark windows, this came from under the hall and went away.
