Today I have met Ronan and it was fantastic!!!!

On our way to the Skyradio studio we listened to the car radio and we heard Ronan at another radio station. He was answering some questions there. They had a lot of fun the presenter and Ronan. The part we heard they talked about the walk in Ireland and that he was in training for the Mount Everest. But Yvonne didn’t allow him to climb the Mount Everest, because you have to train for 4 years. The perfect thing about the Ireland walk was, that it was all down hill, he said. They talked about him being in music for ten years now, about movies and more things.

Then we arrived at the music station we had the meet and greet. We were about 40 minutes early. We had to wait in the lobby and had to sit on a sofa. After half an hour the other person who won a meet and greet was there. She had taken her sister with her.
Then the man came who organized all the things and took us to the canteen. There we had to wait. Ronan would come in ten minutes and then he would first do the chat and after that we had the meet and greet.
So we enjoyed ourselves with trying out the dartboard and the soccer table. (This had nothing to do with the fact that Westlife was there last Thursday and also had played darts and soccer on that table.)

Then at some point the other girl said there is Ronan. So I turned around to see him and at that moment he turned around again and walked away for the chat.

Then we had to wait and wait. Machiel came back and asked us if we wanted to see a little of the chat. Of course we wanted that!
We were taken upstairs to the room where Ronan was sitting and doing his chat. He looked up when we got in and he said: Hi guys with a very big smile!
We were allowed to take place in some chairs and watch a little of the chat. Ronan didn’t type himself. Like he said some time later to us he types with two fingers and very slow. So it would take ages and he could only answer two questions.
Sometimes he read the questions on the screen out loud and sometimes we could hear his answers.
But the chat will be on the site from the radio station soon I think. We got some more explanation with it. Downstairs there were people reading everything and only the good questions they sent up and then Ronan could answer them.

We heard some questions and answers.
*If he was going to meet J.Lo in America could he said hi to her? He thought he wasn’t going to meet her.
*Was he going to help with a band like Westlife? No not a band maybe a solo singer, female probably.
*Did he have contact with Westlife? Yes he called with Shane Filan two days ago.

In the mean time Ronan said to us: lovely weather isn’t it?

We talked a little bit with the photographer, because he was sitting next to us. Then we had to go downstairs again.

In the canteen we had to wait for Ronan to come and meet us. We got our things from our bag and didn’t have to wait that long. He gave us all a hand. And then he asked what to sign. I gave him my pen and my Irish flag. He said I will write it in the white then and he did. He started with his autograph and when he had finished that he decided to put all the best above it. And then he signed my tour book from the last tour.

That made him ask how we thought of the tour. We loved it of course! He said it was the best tour ever. We agreed.

Then he signed the stuff from the other girls.

Then after the signing we gave him our present. He was happy with it, but wasn’t sure if he could wear the wooden shoes.
The other girl gave him some old photos from when she met him years ago when he was still in Boyzone. He laughed about the photos and said Baby’s, to them.
Then it was time for some photos. While he was going on the photo with me he held me real close.

Ronan had to do some jingles for the radio station and we could leave. When we came in the hall again we saw Barry his security man sitting on the sofa.

I picked up all my courage and went to Barry. He looked at me, because he felt I wanted to ask something and I asked if I could go on the photo with him.
What? With me? Why? He asked. Because it is fun, I answered. He said that it was ok.

But then Ronan came also to the hall and made a joke to Barry because he was on the photo with me. Oops. And if Barry had could turn red I guess he would.
Ronan had to go on some photos with the sign in the hall and then he really had to go. He said to us see you soon and left. We went with him outside and he had a little time for the fans there and then he really had to go to catch his flight back home.

It was so fantastic to meet him up close and talk to him with so less people around. It was just lovely.
And Barry was lovely too. I actually expect him to be a bit stricter and I was really surprised when he said yes to go on the photo with me.

On the way home we stopped in Almere to develop the photos and eat in the mean time. The photos turned out to be just great. I am looked at them a lot already and I will pick them up a lot the coming days also.

I hope I will meet him again like this sooner or later.
